Jarrod Bowen urged to snub Liverpool and join Manchester United

The former winger Trevor Sinclair believes West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen should snub Liverpool and join Manchester United this summer.

The 26-year-old is linked with a move away from the London Stadium, while the Red Devils and the Merseyside clubs have been credited with an interest in the Englishman.

Speaking on TalkSports, the former Hammer has stated that Manchester United will be a better destination for Bowen than Liverpool. The winger will be a perfect candidate to fill the void of Mason Greenwood at the Old Trafford stadium.

The pundit further claimed that having signed Fabio Carvalho from Fulham, the Reds do not need more reinforcements in their right-wing position. Sinclair said:

“You are talking Manchester United, the situation with Mason Greenwood, the way that it has not quite happened on the other side of the pitch for them as well. You could see him going there. There has been interest from Liverpool, but I just feel they have got Carvalho as well from Fulham. I think they are alright in that position. So we will see. I hope he stays. He is a fans’ favourites.”

Our View:

Jarrod Bowen could be a very good addition to the Manchester United squad. The Red Devils need reinforcements in their right-wing position and the 25-year-old could be the solution for the record Premier League champions.

However, with the winger remaining three years in his current contract, it will not be easy for United to price him away from the English capital. The Englishman is the highest scorer of the London club this season and David Moyes would be desperate to keep hold of his star forward.

So, it will be interesting to see what the Red Devils’ hierarchy decide about their right-wing position. They signed Jadon Sancho last summer to resolve the said problem but the English winger hardly ever played there.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will have to address several issues in their squad, therefore, they can’t afford to spend a big chunk of their transfer budget on one player. So, the club’s hierarchy should be smart about their business this summer.
