Juventus are reportedly weighing up a move for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial as per the report in Italian outlet Tuttosport

The 26-year-old’s agent has earlier revealed that the Frenchman is willing to leave the Red Devils in January due to lack of game time. The forward has struggled to find regular first-team football this season, scoring a solitary goal in only 10 appearances in all competitions.

According to the report, Juventus are looking to reinforce their attacking options in this January transfer window and Anthony Martial is among the names on their wishlist. The Bianconeri manager has already contacted the Frenchman in order to understand the player’s availability.

The report also stated that a move for the France international will be dependent on the fellow Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani. The Bianconeri like the Uruguayan’s mentality and his goal-scoring prowess, so, the 34-year-old is also on Massimiliano Allegri’s wishlist. But, given the former PSG man is heavily linked with a move to Barcelona, Juventus could go for an alternative option Anthony Martial.

Will Manchester United star Anthony Martial join Juventus in January?

Anthony Martial has already expressed his desire to leave Manchester United. So, cashing in on the player and investing the money in a different position will be the right decision by the Red Devils hierarchy.

On the other hand, following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani’s first-team appearances have dried out this season. So, letting the Uruguayan leave and clearing up the wage bill will be the right approach from the Old Trafford outfit.

However, if two of the centre forwards leave the club in January then Ralf Rangnick would be required to sign a new centre-forward in this upcoming transfer window. The Red Devils are eyeing a defensive-minded midfielder and alongside that, a new striker will also become a necessity, if both strikers were to leave the club next month.

So, it will be interesting to see what Manchester United decide to do next month. But, if Juventus’ offer a good enough deal for Anthony Martial then the Red Devils should get rid of the Frenchman in January.
