Latest Manchester United transfer news: Manchester United have reportedly made progress in pursuit of former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane as per the report in English outlet Daily Record

Following the slumps in recent results, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under a lot of pressure as the fans are desperate for a managerial change and few pundits have also criticised the Norwegian’s tactics heavily.

According to the report in Daily Record, Zinedine Zidane is allured by the prospect of succeeding Solskjaer at Old Trafford stadium, given the Red Devils have a talented group of players. Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo enjoyed success under the French boss at Real Madrid and the former Real Madrid boss was keen on signing Paul Pogba and Donny Van De Beek during his time at Santiago Bernabeu.

The Red Devils hierarchy are hoping that the 49-year-old’s relationship with Ronaldo and Varane could help in persuading the Frenchman in accepting the offer.

However, the report further claims that Zinedine Zidane’s wife Veronique Zidane is not entertained by the prospect of moving to Manchester and wants her husband to take a longer break before getting back to football.

Latest Manchester United transfer news: Bringing Zinedine Zidane would be a great acquisition for Manchester United. The Frenchman has already showcased his managerial prowess during his time at Santiago Bernabeu and the Red Devils fans will be hoping that the 49-year-old can replicate the same success at Old Trafford stadium if the record Premier League champions can sign the French boss.

Despite enjoying a brilliant transfer window by adding Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo to the squad, Manchester United have started the season on a disappointing note.
