Man United latest transfer news: Ralf Rangnick has suffered a big blow in assembling his coaching staff at Manchester United, as his trusted assistant Lars Kornetka has rejected the opportunity to sign for the Old Trafford club.
The Red Devils have appointed the 63-year-old as the interim boss until the end of this season and then he will help the club through the consultancy role in finding the next manager and signing the right players in the transfer market.
Earlier Lokomotiv Moscow have revealed that Lars Kornetka will take over the head of sports and director role of the club which was previously held by Ralf Rangnick before joining Manchester United. Therefore, the German tactician will have to work at the Old Trafford stadium without his trusted right-hand man.
The 63-year-old earlier said that Kornetka is one of the best video analysts in Germany and the two have previously worked together in Hoffenheim, Schalke and RB Leipzig before moving to Russia’s capital. Kornetka was the German boss’ number one choice for his assistant role at Manchester United.

Man United latest transfer news: Manchester United have officially announced Ralf Rangnick as the interim boss until the end of this season. However, the German boss will have to wait before taking charge of the Old Trafford outfit due to a work permit issue.
The club have officially stated that Micheal Carrick will be the manager against Arsenal and the Red Devils are hoping that the German boss will be able to begin his work from the Crystal Palace game next weekend.
Meanwhile, Rangnick has given permission to bring his coaching staff but most of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s backroom staff will remain at the club in order to learn under the German’s tutelage.
Therefore, it will be interesting to see how the Red Devils will perform under Rangnick with most of the coaches still at the club who were accused of being the reason for the recent downfall along with the Norwegian manager.
