Man United news of today: Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer organized a ‘crisis talk’ with the senior players on Thursday to discuss the recent downfall and how the situation can be changed as quickly as possible as per the report in the English outlet Daily Mail

The Norwegian boss is under a lot of pressure after starting the season on a disappointing note despite having an excellent transfer window, acquiring Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo

According to the report, Solskjaer held a meeting with experienced players including Ronaldo and Harry Maguire to find a way out of the current situation and save his job. Apart from them, Bruno Fernandes, Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic were also present in the meeting at the Carrington.

The main discussion of this meeting was the tactical plan after switching to back three in the last few games and how things can be changed in the upcoming fixtures. The Norwegian boss is desperate to get back to the winning ways and wants to start the process from the next game against Watford.

Man United news of today: How long will Manchester United persist with Solskjaer if the situation does not change?

Man United news of today: After winning only one game in the last six Premier League encounters,  sacking Solskjaer and bringing in a new manager would have been the right decision from Manchester United during the international break. However, the Red Devils hierarchy decided to persist with the Norwegian boss and want to continue with the 48-year-old until the end of this season.

Few names were linked with a move to the Old Trafford stadium in recent weeks, but the transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano has cleared things up by saying that the Red Devils haven’t made any contact with the other managers and are happy to provide the Norwegian more time to turn things around.

Meanwhile, despite spending almost three years at the club, Solskjaer hasn’t been able to implement a playing style and after spending most of his time playing with back four since arriving, the 48-year-old has decided to go with a back three system in the last few matches.

This shows that the Manchester United boss doesn’t have any clear plans on how his team should play. Without having a clear identity, it will be hard for the Norwegian boss to achieve success at the Old Trafford stadium.
