Manchester United have been mentioned as one of the interested parties to sign Juventus star Paulo Dybala as per the report in ESPN

Having spent seven wonderful years, the 28-year-old is set to leave the Old Lady of Turin following the conclusion of this season. The Argentine started his career brilliantly at the Allianz Stadium, however, things have gone downhill in recent years. Therefore, the Juventus hierarchy have decided not to offer him a new deal.

According to the report, Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are the Premier League clubs interested in signing Paulo Dybala for free. Apart from them, unnamed clubs from Spain and Italy are also in contact with the player’s representatives.

The report further claims that the Red Devils are looking to revamp their attacking options under the new manager Erik ten Hag and the Argentine could be a very good option for the record Premier League champions.

Our View:

Paulo Dybala will be an interesting candidate for Manchester United. The Argentine has struggled with his injury problems over the past few campaigns which restricted him from playing regularly at the Allianz Stadium.

On the other hand, given the 28-year-old has no experience in playing outside Serie A, he might struggle to adapt to the high-intensity nature of the Premier League. So, signing Dybala will be a big gamble by the club’s hierarchy.

However, with Edinson Cavani looking likely to leave the club and Cristiano Ronaldo could also decide to find his future away from the Old Trafford stadium, signing a new experienced forward might not be a bad thing for United.

Dybala’s technical ability could turn out to be a great asset for the new boss Erik ten Hag next season should the Red Devils hierarchy manage to get this deal over the line. However, given the Champions League qualification is looking unlikely for Manchester United, the 28-year-old might decide against joining the Old Trafford stadium.
