Manchester United news latest: Manchester United star Paul Pogba is reportedly excited after knowing that Ralf Rangnick will join Manchester United as an interim manager until the end of this season as per the report in The Athletic

The 28-year-old is currently sidelined due to a thigh injury that he suffered during a training session with France national team and could remain out of action for the next few weeks at least. The midfielder’s current contract will expire at the end of this season and is reportedly willing to leave the club for free at the end of this season. 

However, according to the report in The Athletic, Paul Pogba has got positive reactions about Ralf Rangnick through his close contacts and is reportedly excited to work under the German’s tutelage as the Frenchman midfielder feels the 63-year-old has the perfect credentials to take Manchester United to the Champions League next season and build a Premier League title-winning side. 

The report further claims that the 28-year-old rejected a contract offer from the Red Devils and wants to leave the club at the end of this season. However, the midfielder might change his mind if he feels the club is going towards the right decision under the German’s guidance. 

Manchester United news latest: Should Manchester United offer Pogba a long-term contract? 

Manchester United news latest: Tying Pogba down in a long-term contract will be a very good decision from Manchester United. However, the German boss has earlier alluded that the Frenchman is not the right player for his style of football and it will be interesting to see what Rangnick decides about the midfielder’s future. 

Meanwhile, losing the 28-year-old for free at the end of this season will be a huge loss for the Red Devils and the record Premier League champions might not be willing to endure that amount of loss. 

The Frenchman hasn’t had a great time since joining the club but things might be different this time under Ralf Rangnick’s management. So, the German boss should take a look at the Frenchman’s performance over the next few weeks before making the final decision.
