Marcus Rashford is reportedly miserable at Manchester United due to his lack of game time under the interim boss Ralf Rangnick as per the report in 90min

The 24-years-old has been struggling to showcase his best this season since recovering from a shoulder injury, scoring five goals and notching up two assists in 27 appearances in all competitions.

According to the report, after failing to break into the starting eleven at Old Trafford and losing his place in England’s squad in the recently concluded international break, the forward is exploring the possibility of moving away from the Old Trafford stadium in search of regular first-team football.

The report further claims that Newcastle United are showing interest in signing the Englishman in the summer. However, the 24-years-old could still want to stay at the record Premier League champions, depending on the German’s future at the club.

Following his stint as the interim boss at the end of this season, Rangnick will become the consultant of the club for two more years. So, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for both Rashford and Rangnick.

Our View:

Rashford has been struggling to showcase his best this season and it is the right decision by the interim boss Ralf Rangnick to drop the forward from the first-team squad. However, it is baffling that the Englishman is considering his future at Manchester United rather than working hard and regaining his place in the first-team squad.

The 24-years-old has shown his mentality on this occasion and if he wants to leave the club then the forward should be given permission to leave at the end of this season.

Rangnick has previously alluded that the Red Devils need players who are hungry to play for the club and give their best every week. However, the Englishman hasn’t showcased that trait this season and seemed uninterested in the majority of the games.

Manchester United will have to look for a squad overhaul in the summer as quite a few players have entered the final few months of their current contract and a few others are not happy at the Old Trafford stadium. So, the Red Devils will have to go through yet another rebuild under a new manager from next season.
