Following a confidence-boosting victory against Brentford, Manchester United will be travelling to AMEX Stadium to face Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday in the Premier League

The Red Devils won their last game of the campaign at Old Trafford on Monday night by 3-0 thanks to the contributions of Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane. This was the first goal for the Frenchman in the United colours.

Meanwhile, this victory didn’t change the Red Devils’ position in the league as they remained in sixth place with 58 points in 36 games. Having squandered the opportunity to finish in the top four spot, this victory could be enough for Ralf Rangnick’s side to qualify for the Europa League next season.

Manchester United team news against Brighton:

Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have returned to training after missing out on the last couple of games due to a knee injury and an unspecified issue respectively. They will be in contention to feature in this encounter.

Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho is expected to remain sidelined as a consequence of illness, while Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba seemingly played their last game this campaign.

Edinson Cavani and Fred returned to action in the previous game and they will be in contention to start the game.

Predicted Line-up:

After keeping their first clean sheets in nine games in all competitions, the back five, including the goalkeeper, should remain the same. David De Gea should start between the sticks, while Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Raphael Varane and Alex Telles are the back four.

Nemanja Matic displayed productive performances in the last two games and therefore he should start in the engine room alongside Fred. Scott McTominay’s performance hasn’t been good enough in recent games and he should be dropped.

Meanwhile, Juan Mata could keep hold of his place in the starting line-up as the creative midfielder, while Bruno Fernandes and Anthony Elanga might start on the flanks. Cristiano Ronaldo will be the lone striker for the Red Devils.

Manchester United predicted line-up against Brighton & Hove Albion(4-2-3-1):

David De Gea; Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Raphael Varane, Alex Telles; Nemanja Matic, Fred; Anthony Elanga, Juan Mata, Bruno Fernandes; Cristiano Ronaldo
