After an important victory against Burnley in midweek, Manchester United will welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers in their next game on Monday night.

Ralf Rangnick‘s side displayed a much-improved performance against the Clarets and beat them by 3-1. The Red Devils were already 3-0 up before conceding a goal ahead of the interval.

Manchester United will be looking to keep their winning run going against the Wolves to close the gap with Arsenal for the Champions League spot. West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are also in the hunt for the top four finish.

Manchester United team news ahead of a crucial encounter against Wolverhampton:

Victor Lindelof was unavailable in the last two games after being tested positive for Covid-19 and might have to remain sidelined for this encounter as well. Along with the Swedish, Paul Pogba will also be out of contention for this game due to injury issues. Eric Bailly limped off in the second half in midweek and could be in doubt for this encounter.

Having picked up 5th booking of the season, Bruno Fernandes was out due to suspension in the last game against Sean Dyche’s side and the Portuguese is expected to return to the starting eleven on Monday.

Man United predicted line-up:

David De Gea will certainly start between the sticks and in front of the Spaniard, Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire will be the centre backs for the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka started the last game but the German boss could be looking to rotate his full-back once again and Diogo Dalot and Alex Telles might start against Bruno Lage’s side.

Rangnick dropped Fred in the last game against Burnley and might continue with Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay in the midfield pivot role. Bruno Fernandes could return to the starting eleven in place of Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho should be the other attacking midfielder in the 4-2-2-2 system.

The Red Devils boss might decide to rest Edinson Cavani in this encounter and go with Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford. The Uruguay international has struggled with injuries in recent times and might be tough for him to start in back-to-back games in this busy schedule.

However, the former Leipzig boss does not like to change his winning formation and it will be interesting to see if he will do the same this time around or not.

Manchester United predicted line-up against Wolverhampton(4-2-2-2):

David De Gea; Diogo Dalot, Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire, Alex Telles; Nemanja Matic, Scott McTominay; Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho; Marcus Rashford, Cristiano Ronaldo
