PSG are reportedly ready to offer a huge contract to Manchester United star Paul Pogba as per the report in English outlet Daily Mail

The 28-year-old has entered the final six months of his current contract and recent reports are suggesting that the Frenchman is keen on leaving the record Premier League champions as a free agent at the end of this season.

According to the report, PSG are eager on luring Manchester United star Paul Pogba. The Ligue 1 outfit are set to offer a huge contract to the midfielder to sign him up for free at the end of this season. Although the Parisiens are leading the race for the United star, Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all monitoring the player’s current situation with Manchester united.

However, the report further claims that the 28-year-old hasn’t decided his future yet and might take a U-turn and sign a long-term contract with the Red Devils.

Our View:

Despite showcasing inconsistent performance since arriving at the club back in 2016, Paul Pogba has been one of the key members of the Manchester United squad. The Frenchman showed glimpses of his talent every now and then but it wasn’t enough to bring success at the Old Trafford stadium.

Pogba currently earns around £15 million per annum in salary but he hasn’t done enough to justify his salary. And the midfielder will certainly ask for a salary hike in order to sign a contract extension. So, it will not be the right decision to offer a long-term contract to the midfielder.

On the other hand, the 28-year-old sustains a long-term injury in almost every season which keeps him out for several months. So, the club hierarchy should keep the midfielder’s injury record in mind before offering a new deal.

Therefore, parting ways at the end of this season will be the right decision for both parties. The Red Devils will be eyeing to rebuild their squad from next season and allowing the Frenchman to leave the club and bring in a new holding midfielder will be the right decision from the club’s hierarchy.
