Roy Keane has ripped Manchester United players after a lacklustre performance against Liverpool on Tuesday night.

The record Premier League champions endured a 5-0 defeat against Jurgen Klopp’s side in the reverse fixture. And now they suffered yet another huge loss against their adversaries. Luis Diaz opened the account for Liverpool early in the first half before Mohamed Salah doubled the margin prior to the interval.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils started the second half relatively well compared to their first-half display, however, things went downhill after conceding the third goal, scored by Sadio Mane. The Egyptian star scored yet another goal late in the game to rub the salt into the wound of the Old Trafford faithful.

Speaking on the Sky Sports(Via Manchester World), after the game, Roy Keane blasted at Manchester United players following a disappointing performance and he said:

“It’s not anger, now I think it’s just sadness. You look at the United team, there’s no heart, no soul, no leaders. They are so far off. You look at the United fans tonight, there’s no surprise at the scoreline. They kept going until the end, but you just felt Liverpool could score every time they went forward.

“There’s just disarray at the club from the top, the board, the fans have no time for the owners. They need a new manager. They need players in, they need players out. It’s so sad to see and it’s not the club I played for. It’s chalk and cheese. I don’t see a Manchester United team out there fighting and playing with pride.”

Our View:

Manchester United players have been showcasing the lack of urgency since the arrival of Rangnick. They performed poorly against Manchester City and also displayed lacklustre performances against Everton, Leicester and Wolverhampton.

The Red Devils players have shown a lack of respect for the new interim manager and are continuing to leak dressing room stories to the media. The German boss should have expelled the bad influenced players from his squad and provided opportunities to the youngsters.

Hannibal Mejbri showed more willingness in the last few minutes last night after coming off the bench than the other players had shown in the majority of the game. Anthony Elanga is also another player who has done well under the German.

So, Rangnick should keep faith in the youth for the last few games of this season. The experienced players have been a disappointment for the club this season and they should not get picked despite struggling to perform at the highest level.
