Erik Ten Hag is reportedly willing to sign Ajax winger Antony if the Dutchman becomes the next Manchester United boss as per the report in English outlet The Telegraph

The 22-year-old joined the Eredivisie giants back in 2020 from Sao Paulo for a fee of around £14 million. The Brazilian is enjoying a stellar campaign this term, scoring 12 goals and notching up 10 assists in 33 appearances in all competitions.

According to the report, Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag is heavily linked with a move away from the Johan Cruyff Arena and Manchester United have been mentioned as the favourite to appoint the Dutchman as the next permanent manager.

Meanwhile, the report further claims that the 52-year-old is set to take Antony wherever the Ajax boss will go next season. And the Red Devils are seemingly the likeliest destination for the Ajax Duo.

Our View:

Following Marcus Rashford’s dip in form and Mason Greenwood’s suspension, Manchester United need to strengthen their forward line and signing Ajax ace Antony would be a very good addition to the Red Devils’ squad.

Erik Ten Hag is leading the race to become the next permanent manager as per the bookmakers and bringing the Brazilian winger along with himself will be a shrewd decision by the 52-year-old.

Antony is quick, can dribble in close areas and also has an eye for scoring goals. Therefore, the winger has every attribute to become a world-class player in future.

Meanwhile, despite interviewing Erik Ten Hag a couple of weeks ago, Manchester United haven’t made the final decision whether to appoint the Dutchman or not. So, it will be interesting to see who the Red Devils’ hierarchy appoint as the next permanent manager.
